Mobilizing WASH Resources for Immediate Impact
Our Programs
-
Emergency Sanitation
WFSSF constructs emergency sanitation facilities in refugee and Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) Centers to provide safe and hygienic conditions for affected populations. Recent efforts include the construction of latrines and handwashing stations in Malakal, Renk, and Joda in Upper Nile State, Wedwiel in Northern Bahr El Ghazal State, and Gogrial East in Lounyaker.
Our organization is unwavering in its commitment to providing essential WASH services, particularly in times of crisis. We have a proven track record of responding to various emergencies in South Sudan, including floods, natural disasters, conflicts, and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Emergency Works Surface Water Treatment
The Emergency Works SWAT (Special Water Action Team) is deployed to quickly respond to water-related emergencies, including installing emergency water treatment systems. For example, WFSSF installed an emergency surface water treatment system in Lounyaker to provide clean drinking water to flood-affected populations.
-
Distribution of Non-Food Items (NFI)
WFSSF distributes essential non-food items, such as buckets, soaps, and tarpaulins, to ensure safe living conditions for IDPs and help prevent the spread of waterborne diseases. These efforts focus on providing basic necessities that support hygiene and health in emergency settings.
